Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: Feb 1, 2026

GutPlate participates in affiliate programs to help keep the site free. This page explains how it works, in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a link to a product where, if you click through and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is not affected โ€” commissions come out of the retailer's marketing budget.

Programs we participate in

  • Amazon Associates โ€” Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. We are participants in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
  • Occasional direct affiliate relationships with kitchen tool or specialty food brands โ€” disclosed on the specific recipe or article where they appear.

How we decide what to recommend

We recommend products we actually use. Our editorial team chooses products based on testing, durability, and price-to-quality ratio. We do not accept payment to recommend specific products. If a product is sponsored or paid-for, it is labeled "Sponsored" and handled separately from our affiliate links.

How affiliate links are marked

Every affiliate link on our site uses rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" in accordance with Google's guidelines for monetized links. Pages that contain affiliate links display a short disclosure notice near the top. We also tag Amazon URLs with our associates tag.

Your choices

You are never obligated to buy through our links. You can always search directly for a product or buy from a different retailer. Doing so won't change the content you see on GutPlate.
