What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They are used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, or measure how pages are used.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
- gutplate-consent (localStorage, not a traditional cookie) โ remembers your consent choice so we don't ask again. Expires: 12 months.
- gutplate-recipe-* (localStorage) โ per-recipe state: serving scale, ingredient and step ticks. Stays on your device until you clear browser storage.
Advertising (only if you accept)
If you click "Accept" in the consent banner, Google AdSense may set cookies to:
- Show you ads that are more relevant
- Measure ad performance
- Detect fraud and invalid traffic
Google maintains a full list of AdSense cookies in its cookie types documentation. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It does not set cookies or use fingerprinting.
Managing cookies
- You can change your consent decision anytime by clearing the
gutplate-consententry in your browser's site data, which will re-trigger the banner. - All major browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising globally at YourOnlineChoices (EU) or DAA (US).
